Happy Halloween!

Halloween was a busy day! Both Mommy and Daddy were off from work, but the kids had school, parades and parties to attend!

Mommy was able to go to Avery's school to watch the kindergartner's parade outside of the school. Clearly, Avery was not shy about waving to the camera!
All of her classmates were too cute.

Meanwhile, Daddy took Grayson to school for his Halloween parade. Mommy made it there just in time to catch it!  Here's Grayson, taking a break from singing to get his picture taken...

 Grayson's classmates - serious cuteness!
He immediately got to work in his classroom and didn't even care that both Mommy and Daddy were there. He has really gotten more independent!
Mommy and Daddy even got to go on a breakfast date while both kids were in school.
What a treat for us!

By 3 pm, the kids were literally bouncing off the walls with anticipation and excitement for trick or treating! Avery's friend, Polina, along with cousin Madi, came to our house beforehand for pizza while the adults enjoyed beer and wine.  MomMom and BobBob came to our house to hand out candy for the three kids that came to our door (apparently kids these days are too lazy to walk to the cul-de-sac.  If they only knew that we had full sized and king sized bars to give out!)

We came back to more chaos as they dumped everything out and started making trades!
They were allowed to eat 2 pieces of candy and then Avery asked for carrots to snack on because she was still hungry!  I was one happy mama!

What a fun day and night!
