Happy Easter!

We had a lovely Easter this year!
A few weeks before it, we went to an Easter Egg Hunt at the community center down the street. Here are the kids and Avery's friend Polina getting excited for the hunt!
We had to do the hunt indoors because there was fresh snow on the ground : (
Say hi to the creepiest bunny ever!!
We painted eggs.

We experimented with doing some white eggs and some brown eggs to see the difference in colors. The brown ones turned out surprisingly nice!
Grayson had his annual Easter Chapel and Art Show.
 He started off really good...
 and so cute...
and then things went downhill as plugged his ears and rocked back and forth.
Totally normal, right?
Here is some of his artwork.

Easter morning couldn't come fast enough!
Grayson has become a master at UNO because he plays with Nonna all the time, so the Easter Bunny decided he needed the game for at home too. We can't believe how quickly he caught onto the game and really enjoys it. He often walks around the house saying "skip you, back to me!"
The kids did a small egg hunt in our house.

But there was a mysterious note on the table left by Mommy and Daddy! It was the first clue to a scavenger hunt that took them all over the house....
and finally led to a suitcase with two Disney shirts in it!

The clue read "....and you can wear these shirts in Disney World!" They were excited but also confused because we are not going until September (they wanted to go right then and there!) But all four of us are super excited and enjoying planning the vacation.
Once they got over the excitement (and some disappointment!) we went to church.
Grayson was a polite gentleman here.
Avery volunteered to participate in the service!
She walked the children's offering up to the front of the church.
We visited Nonna in the nursery afterwards.
When we got home, I did my traditional (dreaded) photo shoot, trying desperately to get one nice photo of the kids. I was extra excited this year because we just painted the living room one of my favorite shades of green.

Here is how it went down.....

I had to crop Guster out to get my one good picture!
Here's one I got of all of us with the timer.
Then we went to MomMom's for another egg hunt and dinner.
Love this pic of Gray and Aunt Brynnie!
Grayson decided he wanted to see how many eggs he could hide on himself..

stuffed in his pants pockets, shirt and shirt pocket!
Then I found him like this in the bathroom.
Is this that same boy...he looks so sweet and innocent here on the way over.
The day wouldn't be complete without some airplane rides too!
Hope everyone had a blessed Easter too!

We are ALIVE!!!

I don't know where time has gone, yet it seems like it was the longest winter ever! I haven't posted since the start of 2015, so this is my attempt to get back at it!!

This post is a recap of the loooonnnggg, cold winter we had!

Disney on Ice at the new PPL Center...
Attempting a sleepover in the same room...
it lasted 10 minutes before they got on each other's nerves!
Some days we just took warm bubble baths for something to do.
Most days we woke up looking like this.....is winter over yet!?!?
Curly hair...just for fun!
It didn't matter the temperature outside....Avery doesn't mind dressing up and showing some skin!

Grayson was more practical and left his footsie PJ's on underneath.

Cousin Hadley got to experience some of PA's winter too!
Here are the Knepp cousins (note Brett's picture in a frame since he wasn't able to make it home)
We enjoyed having Hadley and Jenny for dinner one night too.
Spending a lot of time indoors meant lots of learning time.
Avery has really mastered her numbers!
And Grayson too! He always wanted to do flashcards too once he saw Avery doing them.
He is smarter than we give him credit for!
They even got along some of the time....
Showing some love on Valentine's Day!
We tried to get outside on some of the milder days....but the snow still got in the way.
This last picture was literally taken on the first day of Spring as we watched the snow continue to fall!
It was a rough winter and I'm glad it is over! We could not be more excited that spring is upon us now (although I'm questioning that statement too as I sit here suffering from allergies that I never knew I had!). C'mon SUMMER!!!
